ARTS & CULTURE

Making A Difference With Music- Music Video Project

Homelessness Awareness

Faces of Youth is working on a national initiative project to create a voice and awareness for our youth through music.

The Music Video Youth Project is a music video production that allows youth to use music, a medium that they enjoy to express their talents; while exhibiting their voices on social topics that plague our society today.

The project is a full music video production of young people dancing, rapping, singing and acting.  The lyrics are written and performed by the youth in a music video. All videos will be published and publicized throughout the nation.  The video will appear on youtube.com, sent to schools, media and national personalities.

This year's video will be on creating an awareness of the vast number of homeless citizens we are now embarked with.   In addition to rehearsing for the video, each youth will serve a minimum of four hours of community service to help the homeless. We have partnered with the Homeless Emergency Project (HEP) where youth can help with the growing numbers of people finding themselves in a homeless state. The youth help serve in HEP's kitchen which serves three meals daily, seven days a week. HEP also provides transitional housing for people in need.

We believe that this project not only make the youth aware of the world around them but empower them to be prepared to help solve the problems that it has.

We are asking that you help support our youth with a sponsorship or donation to provide for production, transportation, food.

FINANCE & ECONOMICS

Financial Education

Most young people are unskilled and uneducated in managing their personal finances, yet financial literacy is a crucial skill that will greatly impact their future, well-being and the economy. America's youth need to understand the basics of money management, and develop sound financial habits. Many young people who mismanage their money become adults who are in a whirlwind of debt. The Faces of Youth Project is dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy.

Youth attend financial seminars which show them how to:

  • Managing revenue from their businesses

  • Saving for college

  • Stock market trading

  • Debit Deterrence Classes

  • Emotional purchases pitfalls

  • Banking and interest rate

  • Credit card safety and proper usage
